Day of the Child is an annual event that brings families together for an afternoon of fun activities, education, and community information. 25+ agencies and organizations set up booths throughout the mall. Each booth displays available resources and free, fun activities, games, arts, or crafts for children and their families to engage in.

A few things from our last Day of the Child event in 2023:
- “Book Adventures: Born to Read, Think, and Imagine!” was our theme in 2023.
- 2023 was our 32nd year of Day of the Child and our first year back after a 2 year break due to COVID.

The Lion’s Clubs have provide free vision screenings, the Shriner’s Clubs have provided comprehensive child I.D.s, SEIA Child Passenger Safety has provided car seat safety checks and information, there have been arts, crafts, games, paint tattoos, and more!
Day of the Child celebrates children and families in our community! Local agencies and organizations provide free activities and information.
