Our Community Action Agency is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to join our Finance team. This position assists the Finance and Program Directors with budget preparation and monitoring, processes bi-weekly payroll for approximately 130 employees in ADP, prepares program billings and financial reports, reconciles payroll and general ledger accounts, supports grant compliance, audit preparation, and year-end reporting, and helps ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will maintain strict confidentiality, possess strong analytical and organizational skills, and communicate effectively with staff and program leadership. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or an Associate’s degree with payroll experience) is preferred, along with experience in nonprofit or fund accounting, computerized accounting systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is passionate about supporting programs that strengthen individuals, families, and communities.
