Iowa Community Action Association Conference

Executive Director Sheri Wilson, Center Director Lisa Nafziger, and Planning Director Rachel Albrecht attended the Annual ICAA Conference. All three came back with new ideas having made connections and learned. Ongoing learning is so important for all of us.

Courtney Kohler from the National Community Action Association spoke about the national impact of agencies.

Lana Shope presented Community Action Awards; Friend of Community Action Award to Mary Whisenand, State Partnership Award to JBS, and the Robert F Tyson Memorial Award to John Wilson, Interim Director at Operation New View.

Here Courtney Kohler spoke on community needs and organizing support for change. There were many different sessions to educate and engage participants.
