How are people’s lives changed at Community Action of Southeast Iowa?
Lives are changed in a myriad of ways through our agency. Financial stressors are relieved, children are provided safe and wholesome care and education, families have the security of knowing they will have their food need met as they transition between jobs, hope is grasped as a family development specialist comes along side them to support them in their goals and connect them to resources, running water is restored for a family, a hot water heater is installed for a senior who’s been boiling buckets on the stove and carrying them to the bathtub for infrequent baths, a bed is provided for a disabled individual who had been sleeping in a recliner. These are just a few of the ways people have been impacted through our agency.
