Head Start Lead Teacher Maintain confidentiality. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities as outlined in the Head Start Performance Standards and other Agency documents. Plan, coordinate and implement field trip activities with Education Services Manager, Education Coordinators and Family Development Specialists. Develop a respectful, supportive, trusting relationship with each family assisting them in meeting their own needs and planning for their child’s optimal growth. Assist in maintaining bus routes with the transportation staff; inform families and teaching staff schedule arrival and departure times. Read and be familiar with Head Start regulatory standards and interpret the program philosophy to families and the community. Professional Development Coordinator Act as Child Plus lead for the program. Assist staff with using Child Plus. Monitor Child Plus data for completion and accuracy including PIR data. Collect data, and access progress on program goals, and synthesize assessment information for grant reporting and development. Assist Program Director with the development of Federal Grants. Ensure the child outcomes data (DRDP) is accurate and complete. Monitor, synthesize, and report child outcomes (DRDP) and program information in Child Plus. Monitor and support employees’ credentialing progress, give feedback to employees, and report progress to the Director. Coordinate, mentor, and assist staff with the Child Development Associate (CDA) certification process. Registered Nurse – WIC Functions as the Competent Professional Authority (CPA) for determination of program eligibility and certification; following assessment of individual anthropometric, biochemical and dietary data, either certify or deny participation in the program on the basis of nutritional risk. Tailor the food package to best meet individual participants’ dietary needs. Assist in referring participants to other sources of health care as needed, documentation and follow-up of referrals made. Provides basic information and education concerning infant, child, maternal and breastfeeding health to participants. Attends appropriate state and area meetings as needed. Nutritionist/Dietitian Function as the competent professional authority for determination of program eligibility and certification; following assessment of individual anthropometric, biochemical, and dietary data, either certify or deny participation in the program based on nutritional risk. Work as part of the team to coordinate and ensure nutrition education for all participants, both on an individual and group basis; monitor all materials used in the education program; ensure that all WIC participants receive at least two nutrition education contacts per certification period; documentation of education received into participant records; and provide in-depth individual nutrition counseling as needed or requested by a participant. | $22.30 (B.S.) Head Start/Early Head Start Substitutes (cooks & teacher ) On-call hours, high school diploma or GED required. Teacher I – Float Maintain a flexible schedule to assist in covering classrooms staff ratios for staff absences and break times. Maintain consistent rules for children. Maintain records and prepare reports on students’ behavior. Be familiar with location and use of emergency equipment and procedures. Take part in and help supervise children during field trips as assigned. Be respectful, supportive and courteous to each family. Provide a safe, healthy, nurturing atmosphere that promotes optimal growth in children.
